What stays in your browser

To save you re-entering things, your browser’s local storage keeps your calendar preferences (time zone, week start, whether moon phases and holidays show) and the last place you chose for sunrise, moon and eclipse times. If you use “Use my location”, your coordinates are read by your browser and used only on this page; they are never sent to us.

The night sky guide

When you press “Plan my night”, the computed almanac (place name, coordinates, times) and your optional note are sent to our server and on to an AI model through Vercel AI Gateway to write the plan. We don’t store them. Please don’t type personal information into the note.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics, which is cookieless and counts page views without identifying you.
