Overview

CalendarCosmos is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

Data Collection

What We Collect

CalendarCosmos is a client-side application that operates primarily in your browser:

  • Location Data (Optional): If you use features like sunrise/sunset times or moon phases, we may request your location via browser geolocation API. This data is used ONLY for astronomical calculations and is NOT stored on our servers.
  • No Account Data: We do not require registration or collect personal information.
  • No Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies.

Local Storage

Some features may use browser local storage (localStorage or IndexedDB) to:

  • Save your location preferences
  • Remember your display settings
  • Cache calendar data for offline access
  • Search History: Store your recent sunrise/sunset location searches (location name, coordinates, date, and calculated times) in IndexedDB for quick access. You can clear this history at any time using the "Clear All" button.

This data stays on YOUR device and is NEVER transmitted to our servers. You have full control to delete this data at any time through your browser settings or using the in-app "Clear History" features.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Personal information (name, email, phone)
  • User accounts or login credentials
  • Browsing history or activity tracking
